The Carno Station Action Group was set up in 2002 as a sub-committee of Carno Community Council to campaign for the re-opening of Carno railway station on the Cambrian Line between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth.
Rail Action Group, East of Scotland (RAGES) was formally established at an inaugural meeting in Dunbar on 13th January 1999 and now has around 160 members - the group is campaigning to reopen East Linton and Relston stations in East Lothian.

A volunteer campaign group whose aim is to campaign for the re-instatement of the Colne-Skipton line as a trans-pennine route, a part of the national network, linking the Aire Valley and Yorkshire to East Lancashire, Manchester, Preston and beyond.

Blackford Community Council represents the interests of the residents of Blackford. Community Councils were established by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 and were formed to bridge the gap between local authorities and local communities and to make local authorities and other public bodies aware of the opinions, needs and preferences of the communities they represent.
Gordon Banks is the MP for Ochil and South Perthshire. He is an ardent supporter of the COBRA campaign.

The Office of the Rail Regulator is the integrated safety and economic regulator for the rail industry.
 

PKAVS is a diverse charity which runs a range of projects supporting the community of Perth & Kinross. It has helped COBRA develop its constitution and advised on funding opportunities.

 

Railway Herald was launched in February 2005 and is the first publically available, professionally produced digital magazine in the UK to be dedicated to the railway enthusiast. The magazine focus is on reporting news and information from around the national network as well as the heritage lines and featuring the very best in digital photography.
Sandy Marshall, popularly known as Sannock, is a singer, songwriter and member of the Perthshire folk band Tarneybackle. Sannock has compiled a song, "On the Line ", dedicated to the reopening of Blackford station.
 
 www.railscot.co.uk is a website providing a history of Scotland's railways. Blackford station was originally established as part of the Scottish Central Railway, linking Perth to Greenhill (near Falkirk) and connecting services from Glasgow, Carlisle and Edinburgh through to Aberdeen and Inverness.
TACTRAN is the Tayside and Central Scotland Transport partnership. It is a statutory body established under Transport (Scotland) Act 2005.  The Partnership includes Angus, Dundee City, Perth & Kinross and Stirling Council areas. Its role is to bring together the local authorities and other key regional stakeholders, to take a strategic approach to transport in the region.
 Transport Scotland is the national transport agency responsible for Scotland.
